FAQ

Why do you travel?

It’s kind of like asking why parrot fish are sequential hermaphrodites. (Parrot fish begin life as females and when the female fish in one habitat outnumber the male fish, some transform into males in order for the population to reach equilibrium.) In other words, it is necessary for survival.

How do I contribute to Somewhere Or Bust?

If you are interested in writing a featured story for Somewhere Or Bust, I would suggest reading the site to get a feel for the style and mission. If you do have writing or photographs that you would like to have considered, send it to me via the snazzy contact page or to my email (see below). Somewhere Or Bust only considers previously unpublished material. All rights revert to authors and photographers. Featured stories should be at least 800 words. Photographs need to be accompanied by a short blurb.

If you travel through my city, will you visit?

Do you cook well? Oh you do. What will you be cooking? Really.

Why is “New York” under the Or Bust section?

If I am writing about New York, it means that I am home. But even when I spend time in New York, I promise to bring you travel stories, tips, and misadventures from all across the state.

You seem to get food poisoning often. Why?

Undercooked chicken in Melbourne’s Chinatown, Bloody Mary ice in Mexico, thirty-cent gray hamburgers in Peru, beef something-or-other at a Knot’s Berry Farm food stall (which stood beside the roller coaster ride appropriately named Montezuma’s Revenge), etc.

We’re a business that caters to the travel market, can we contact you to write reviews of our product or service?

Certainly. Contact me. All reviews will be honest. They will be featured on the Homepage and Reviews page for a few weeks. Then they will be archived. See Advertise page for more information.

Do you attend press trips? Do you consider freelance travel assignments? We are a travel-related company, can we advertise on your page?  We would like to become an official sponsor of the site, can we discuss?

Yes. Contact me with the details. See Advertise page for more information.

Who shot all of these marvelous photographs?

If they’re good, I took them. If they’re exceptional, they belong to my talented wife, Marissa Lederman. If someone else took the photo, it will be noted at the end of the post.

Will you answer any more questions?

Yes. Thanks for reading. You can contact me at noahlederman at gmail dot com or use the contact me form.
